Skeleton Keys

A friend told me about a piano abandoned in the woods. When I found it, there wasn’t much left to salvage, but I took a bunch of the white keys. They sat in a bucket in my garage for years until one day, inspiration hit: fish bones. I cut and arranged those keys until I thought they were just right. The skull and tail I carved from basswood, then covered in torn up pieces of old sheet music. - Steve Joynt
