Gingerbread

If you take a good look at any shotgun house or Creole cottage in the French Quarter, you’ll see these Victorian-era embellishments under the roof over the front porch. I love that no two houses seem to have exact same gingerbread design. I have taken photos of a good many of them, painted several, and they are practically like fingerprints, as far as I can tell.
