This piece is inspired by a segment of the iron gate in front of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in downtown Mobile, Al. The pattern's symbolism includes Adinkra elements of Sanfoka "Go back and get it" or the concept of learning from the past), Asase Ye Duru (the divinity of Creation) and Hye Won Hye (imperishability and endurance).
