Inspired by the breathtaking geometry found within natural geodes, this piece captures the luminous depth, energy and light found within Mother Earth's gift to us…crystals. The high-vibrational energy of this newly opened geode infuses this piece with light, purity and incredible beauty. From the Greek word meaning “from the earth”, geodes are rocks with hollow cavities that were created due to the temperature, pressure, and chemical environment of ancient volcanic eruptions over 35 million years ago. Gas bubbles trapped within the rock caused the open cavities while the volcanic lava cooled. Some cavities were left by decomposed organic matter in sedimentary rock, which then got filled with mineral-rich groundwater that slowly deposits crystals over millions of years as the water evaporates.

Geodes symbolize that you can't judge a book by its cover. They may look ordinary on the outside, but on the inside, they shine brightly with sparkly wonder. With a hard and inconspicuous outer shell, when opened have magnificent clarity and perfect symmetry. Teaching us to look deeper within and not making quick judgments. Geodes represent your whole being, inside and out. Their formation is a testament to the slow and intricate processes of nature that involves a complex geological process that spans millions of years. When these natural treasures are opened, their intricate and fascinating interiors are seen for the first time in millions of years.
